Trust & safety requirements

Trust & safety failures are usually held without a clear timeline, which is much worse than a fast technical rejection.

  • MUST be appropriate for the channel’s audience. FRVR’s baseline is All Ages (no age gate). It satisfies every channel currently supported.
  • MUST NOT depict graphic violence, sexual content, hate speech, illegal drug use, real‑money gambling, or self‑harm.
  • Games are typically certified through Korea’s GRAC at All Ages. Anything that could push the rating higher (see GRAC’s content descriptors: sexuality, violence, fear, language, drugs, crime, gambling) MUST be discussed with FRVR before submission.
  • MUST NOT misrepresent gameplay in titles, thumbnails, or descriptions.
  • MUST NOT imply features the game doesn’t have.
  • MUST match screenshots and video to actual in‑game footage. No mock‑ups.
  • MUST hold or license every piece of third‑party IP (art, sound, music, fonts, voice‑over).
  • MUST NOT infringe on trademarks, trade dress, or character likenesses.
  • MUST clear music distribution rights per channel. A track licensed for one channel isn’t automatically licensed for another.
  • MUST clear personality rights (name, likeness) for any real person depicted.

Shared FRVR art / music libraries are pre‑cleared. The rule applies to anything brought in by the studio.

  • MUST NOT share staging / certification build URLs publicly. Sharing them is grounds for the channel to revoke certification.
  • MUST comply with the destination channel’s Developer ToS. FRVR attests on the studio’s behalf, but the studio is the responsible party for content.
  • Any UGC (chat, custom levels, names) MUST have a moderation path. Shield is the standard mechanism on Facebook Instant; on other channels, talk to FRVR.
  • MUST provide a way to report inappropriate content (usually the channel’s own report flow).
